Operational Technology of Weather Radar
- Duration : June 12(Mon.) ~ June 23(Fri.), 2017 (2 Weeks)
- Objectives
- Strengthen meteorological skills needed to analyze radar observation data, numerical weather prediction products
- To enhance human capabilities for accurate forecast services at NHMSs, in particular of the developing countries and least developed countries (LDCs), in line with their national WIGOS implementation.
- Through the course, participants will acquire knowledge about; (1) weather radar theories; (2) weather radar hardware and software for operation applications; and (3) lessons and best practices on introducing weather radar(s) and establishing the weather radar network.

- 19 people of 18 countries from the Asia, Oceania & Africa
- Language : English
- Venue : WMO Regional Training Centre(RTC), Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), Seoul, Republic of Korea
- Qualification of Applicants:
- Participants should have sufficient command of both written and spoken English
- National or local government officials engaged in the field of Weather Radar or forecast
